The Media Academy, established in 2008 by SALZBRENNER STAGETEC in Malaysia, has announced an extensive seminar programme for 2009. The multi-vendor courses cover a wide range of subjects in the pro-audio field and also offer a profound overview of modern video technology. The Media Academy’s mission is to enhance basic knowledge and to develop the professionals’ practical skills in their everyday jobs.

The seminars are principally organised as one or two-day courses. Thanks to the Media Academy affiliation with SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP, there are experienced and renowned instructors available for any specific field. All courses are designed to impart skills in theory and practice. The sound equipment needed for training and demonstrations is state-of-the-art technology and will, in most cases, be entirely digital.

The target audience of Media Academy seminars includes professionals from broadcasting and theatre, project and recording engineers. Since the programme is international in character with an audience from all over Asia and trainers from all over the world, most seminars will be conducted in English.

The Media Academy was launched in November 2008, with two training courses, one dealing with Audio Levelling and Loudness and the second one concerned with Sound Design Set-Up. With 20 trainees each, both were fully booked out. The level of interest was such that the organisers decided to offer further courses covering the same subjects in 2009.
